Fraser Hamilton was born in the Scottish Highlands and studied jewellery extensively in Glasgow, Tokyo and London, and London is where he remains. He draws inspiration from the human body, using familiar forms and manipulating their scale. Hands are a recurring theme in his work, symbolising creation and discovery. They are often paired with uncommon cuts of precious gemstones to create unique and delicate pendants, with the hidden narrative of the discovery of the precious. Hamilton’s jewellery is carved from wax before being cast into solid gold and silver and adorned with gemstones.
